How I work
How this works
No weeks-long proposal processes and no surprises afterwards. Five steps, from your first message to a site that is live.
1. You send a message
Describe your business, what is not working now and when you want it finished. That is all I need to judge whether I am the right person. You get an answer within two working days.
If someone else is a better fit, you hear that straight away too.
2. A half-hour conversation
By phone or video, whichever you prefer. We go through who visits your site, what that person needs to be able to do, and which systems you already use. This conversation is free and commits you to nothing.
3. A one-page proposal
You get it in writing: what I will build, what it costs, when it will be finished, how many revision rounds are included and what is not included. One price, no hours added afterwards.
If you agree, you pay half up front and half on delivery.
4. Building
I deliver a working version along the way for you to respond to. Your job in this phase is mainly supplying material: copy, photos and access to what already exists. If you cannot do that yourself, I take it over at extra cost (which we already agreed on in step 3).
Two revision rounds are included. In practice that is more than enough.
5. Live, and after
I put the site live, register your domain in your name, and walk you through what you can change yourself. The first three months of maintenance are included in the price.
After that maintenance continues unless you tell me you would rather do it yourself. If at any point you want to leave, I move the site free of charge.
How long does it take?
A standard website usually takes three to six weeks from approval, most of which is waiting on copy and images. If you have a hard deadline, say so in step one, then I can tell you whether it is feasible.
Ready to start?
Briefly describe your business and what needs to improve. Step one takes you ten minutes.
